Finally, the spring tournament will resume this year. Since 1990, when the late Barry Berman devised the original format, we have had a spring tournament between the West Coast Fantasy Baseball Association and Dodgertown West in either Bakersfield or Fresno. This year, we are back at Chukchansi Park in Fresno, home of the AAA Giants team, the Fresno Grizzlies. This is one of the most beautiful minor league fields in the nation. It is a real treat to play there and a great opportunity to see our friends.

The tournament will be held March 16-18. There will be three Dodgertown West teams and three WCFBA teams playing a round robin over the weekend. Each team will play one game per day and face a different team each day. There will be a banquet on Saturday night in the Stadium Club at the ballpark. Each participant will also receive a t-shirt.

Hotel rooms are available at the Radisson Hotel which is just a few blocks from the park. The rates are $99 per night for a king or two doubles. The phone number for reservations is 559-268-1000. To get the quoted rate, you need to ask for the DODGERS block of rooms. We have 40 doubles and 15 kings reserved. The cutoff date for reservations is February 24th so don’t delay in reserving a room.

The entry fee for the tournament is $225 which includes three games, one banquet dinner, and a t-shirt. Extra dinners are available at $25 each.
